Age:
Candidates must be at least 17 years old on or before 31 December 2026.
The upper age limit is generally 25 years (institution level), while INC norms allow up to
35 years.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates should have passed 10+2 with English from a recognized board.
Minimum Marks:
Minimum 40% marks in the qualifying examination and in English individually.
Science subjects are preferable.
Eligible Streams:
10+2 with English from any recognized board.
Vocational ANM course with 40% marks from an INC-recognized school.
Vocational Health Care Science stream with 40% marks from recognized
CBSE/State/Central boards.
Eligible Boards:
Students from State Boards, CBSE, Open School recognized by State Government, and NIOS are
eligible.
Medical Fitness:
Candidates must be medically fit.
Other Conditions:
Married candidates are generally not eligible for admission.
Admission process must be completed before 31 October of the academic year.
Passed Higher Secondary / 10+2 / Intermediate or an equivalent examination
recognized by the university.
Completed Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).
Registration Requirement:
Registered as R.N.R.M (Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife) with the Tamil Nadu
Nursing Council or any other State Nursing Council.
Candidates registered in another state must also register with the Tamil Nadu
Nursing Council as per university norms.
Work Experience:
After completing GNM and obtaining State Nursing Council registration, candidates can join
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing without work experience.
Medical Fitness:
Candidates must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate from an authorized medical officer.
Age Limit:
There is no upper age limit for admission.
Admission Cut-off:
Admissions must be completed on or before 31 October of the academic year.
Registration Requirement:
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM) or equivalent with any
State Nursing Registration Council.

Minimum 1 year work experience after Basic B.Sc Nursing.
OR minimum 1 year experience before or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing.
Medical Fitness:
Candidates must be medically fit and submit a medical fitness certificate.
