Nephrology Unit

The Department of Nephrology has full time qualified consultants with a team of doctors, well trained dialysis technicians and staff nurses. Our team offers round the clock service to the patients. Renal biopsies are performed routinely. Kidney transplants are routinely performed with a low economic burden on the patients.

We have excellent infrastructure in operation theatres and post operative wards. Department is well equipped to handle all emergencies. Emergency dialysis can be done 24/7. Our Out-patient department works on all weekdays.

Neurology Unit

Neurology Department is guided by internationally accepted protocol and integrated care pathways. The busy department has consultants and treats over 500 outpatients and more than 200 inpatients every day. It has a dedicated ICU with 20 beds for stroke, head injury and other serious neurological conditions. A large number of patients are treated with focus on head injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, epilepsy, head ache, movement disorders and neuromuscular disorders.

This is the first hospital in Coimbatore to initiate several neurological advancements like deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s, advanced treatment for multiple sclerosis and clot bustering therapy for stroke. It also has an epilepsy surgery programme and high quality neurophysiology lab. The Departments is highly interested in teaching and runs regular lectures and journal clubs.

General Medicine

In general Medicine unit , have Outpatient services and Inpatient services Our intensive care unit is lead by a full time intensive care specialist with dedicated staff providing round the clock service to our patients ,intensive care unit with 12 beds managed by qualified physicians round the clock.

There is also a 20 bedded intermediate care ward with all facilities. The team also includes a physiotherapist, pharmacist, nutritionist and social worker to ensure that individualized holistic care is given to our patients. We emphasize on good communication to the families during the patient's ICU stay and this enables us to improve patient satisfaction with the care provided.

Diabetology and Geriatrics division takes care of diabetic patients and senior citizens problems providing services such as counseling, diabetic education etc. Services are available on all days of the week.
